FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What are your hours of operation?

Our usual hours are 6am and 8pm. As Chicago moves into Phase 5, we are open for limited indoor seating with a 90 minute time limit per visit. We ask that all guests continue to wear a mask unless seated, regardless of vaccination status. Our patio is also open and pet-friendly, weather permitting.

Where are you located?

We are located at 3039 W Fullerton, Chicago, IL 60647, in Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood.

Are you hiring?

Do gift cards count towards free shipping?

Sorry, but gift cards do not count towards free shipping. Our gift cards are e-gift cards and will bed emailed to the email you use at checkout.

Can I use discounts on subscriptions?

Our subscriptions are already discounted beyond most discounts we offer, so we can't offer more on top of that. Sorry!

Can I use more than one discount per order?

Well aren't you thrifty! Sorry, but we can't stack discounts.  We will occasionally combine offers into one discount code, but only one discount code can be used per order.

What does 100% of proceeds mean? Where do the proceeds go?

After we have paid our operating costs and our employees, 100% of proceeds get donated to Hope For The Day to support their proactive suicide prevention and mental health education programs.

What is Hope For The Day?

Hope For The Day is a Chicago-based non-profit that does proactive suicide prevention through outreach and mental health education. To learn more, click here.

Hope For The Day was founded in 2011 and began small, doing outreach at music venues in Chicago.  We handed out flyers and spoke on stage whenever possible. The more our mission was shared, the more people responded and wanted to take this message out of the venues into their personal, professional, and social spaces. That is how we started to grow into partnering with national, and international music tours. By 2014 we were no longer just in music spaces, but were engaging populations in schools, community spaces, and businesses.

Today Hope for the Day and Sip of Hope are both teams made up of a rich spectrum of identities and backgrounds that bring understanding, sensitivity, and appreciation to the impact of mental health within numerous intersections and cultural contexts. Our team is especially unique for being a mental health non-profit run by a majority of individuals with lived experience. We are a squad fervently dedicated to growing and pressing the proactive message each day. We are all in this together passionately dedicated to letting others know and understand why IT’S OK NOT TO BE OK!

Who owns the coffee shop?

Hope For The Day owns and operates Sip of Hope as a social enterprise to financially support our proactive suicide prevention and mental health education programming. When Sip of Hope first opened, we worked with Dark Matter Coffee, who helped us in many ways, guiding, educating, and training us to get to the point where we were able to step out on our own. We are extremely proud and it has always been a goal of ours to source and roast our own signature blends as Sip of Hope Community Coffee Roasters, bringing our education back to the communities in which we source from. 

How do I get involved?
